Family Album is a special limited-edition portfolio produced in Montréal on April 5, 1973 as part of Éditions Graffofone. Only eight portfolios were created, each containing a curated suite of mixed-media works. This example is marked Artist's Proof, making it rarer than the numbered editions. 27x21"

Each portfolio is composed of:

Two original drawings

Two blueprints

Eight serigraphs

The works explore themes of family, identity, memory, and photographic history through a blend of figurative imagery, colour fields, collage-like overlays, and conceptual mark-making. The prints you uploaded include signed and dated pieces, annotated titles, and a variety of stylistic approaches-ranging from monochrome portrait studies to colour-blocked reinterpretations of historical photographs.

Included Works (based on your photos):

"Man Being Alone in Dawn" - A/P, signed Caulfield

"Beyond the Frame" (1983) - signed

Four-figure monochrome portrait on red-brown field - signed and dated

"Sarah and Blanche Mc. ... Class" - signed Don C., /73

This Artist's Proof portfolio represents a complete and historically significant set of mixed-media works from the early 1970s Montréal printmaking community, combining original drawings, conceptual blueprints, and signed serigraphs from multiple artists.

Gloria Deichter is a Canadian contemporary painter known for her expressive, colour-driven abstract works that blend intuition, gesture, and emotional resonance. Working primarily in acrylics, Deichter builds layered compositions that explore movement, atmosphere, and the interplay between structure and spontaneity. Her paintings often feature bold chromatic contrasts, fluid mark-making, and a strong sense of rhythm, resulting in pieces that feel both energetic and contemplative.

Based in British Columbia, Deichter has been an active contributor to the West Coast art community, exhibiting her work in regional galleries, artist collectives, and curated shows. Her paintings appeal to collectors who value modern abstraction with a distinctly personal voice - one rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and a deep engagement with colour.

In addition to her studio practice, Deichter maintains a consistent presence in local art circles, participating in group exhibitions, community art events, and collaborative projects. Her work continues to evolve through ongoing exploration of texture, palette, and expressive form, establishing her as a recognizable figure within contemporary Canadian abstraction.
