A piece of BC history

Humble Manufacturing Co Ltd has a rich, 76-year history rooted in the Pacific Northwest's industrial sector. The Chronological History of Humble Manufacturing1.1.11950 (Founding): Ralph Humble, a former technician with the British Columbia Telephone Company, established the business in a small wooden building in Vancouver.Early 1950s (Niche Expansion): Combining his background in sheet metal and electronics, Ralph began designing and building mobile radio-telephones and specialized telephony equipment. The company built early "Humble radio boxes" used in remote forestry camps, fishing camps, and uranium mining.1.1.11965 (First Major Move): Due to steady team growth, the company relocated to a much larger facility at the corner of Second & Pine Street in Vancouver.Pivoting Focus: Shortly after this move, the company pivoted away from electrical assembly to focus entirely on precision custom sheet metal fabrication.1.1.11988 (Relocation to Burnaby): Following 13 more years of expansion, Humble Manufacturing relocated to its current facility at 3331 Ardingley Ave, Burnaby, BC.21st Century (Modernization & Diversity): In recent years, under the leadership of owner Tracy Spear, the company integrated advanced automation like fiber laser technology and made focused structural changes, including hiring the shop's first full-time female fabricators to promote industry equality.Today, they are recognized as one of the longest-standing precision fabricators in Western Canada, serving telecom, marine, and electronic sectors across North America
